Mesquite Dawn

When discussing photography as art, I don’t feel particularly defensive. Pictures like this can happen in a moment, but in that case you still need the equipment to seize the moment and share it later. When it involves waking up before dawn and being ready to take a picture of a dramatic tree and set the rising glow behind it, there is some conscious creativity and planning involved.

Click on an image, open it in a new window, and then you can judge if the effort was worth it. For those that are interested in the details, this was taken with a Nikon D5600 with a Tamron 18 to 200mm lens. The originals are 6000 X 4000.
